We are putting together osstars to enable organizations find the right talent to help them with their projects. It exists to support open source projects grow their community of users and help connect them on demand to opportunities.

I lead an open source project. Is it for me?

Of course. The whole concept is around helping you grow your users beyond members and contributors. Organization need help with implementation and today struggle to find the right resources. We will help you with the tools to bridge that gap.

I am a student learning to code. Can I join.

The answer is yes. However, you would gain some basic coding skills by following tutorials that are available on the web. Next, identify a project or stack that suits you and apply to join submitting references to work that you have done or projects you have on GitHub or any public app.

I am looking for developers for my team. How can this help?

The biggest challenge to finding the right talent for your team is you don't get a chance to evaluate beyond a limited interview process. That's not how you identify a good artist or a player. You look at their track record. So, instead of searching or posting open positions by skills, we suggest you follow projects that are of interest and let the project leads source the right talent for you. They know their contributors and can best advise.
